Making the most of your shop’s space with creative point-of-sale equipment such as tool hangers

With limited space and a need to stock as many different products as possible in order to make as much money they can, shops need to come up with various ways of displaying what they have for sale in order to make the most of what they have and increase their chances of making sales.

The options available are almost limitless. You could create the classic towering pyramids of cans that have been knocked over in many a film and cartoon (although that’s probably asking for trouble) or you could go for a more simple system of shelves. However, there are various ranges of point-of-sale display equipment available from companies online which you can use to mix things up and create a bit more of an impression on customers that come in to browse but may end up buying, especially when it comes to smaller products.

Hangers, whether they’re used on walls or on shelves, are a popular space saver. They keep things up and out of the way, using areas that you might not have considered could be used to store items and products. Tool hangers and jewellery hangers made out of plastic are commonly seen. They can be hooked on to long metal poles so they can be slid forward when a few are taken off and slid back when they are restocked. There are also various other pieces that can be bought online such as stands, bins and cases made out of plastic for everything from packets of crisps to packets of batteries. While these can be bought individually online, many smaller bits like the jewellery hangers can often only be bought in multiples of ten or twenty.
